IT Operations Engineer - Fixed Term Contract
Job summary
- Act as a first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email and facetoface.
- Take ownership of incidents and service requests, resolving issues within agreed timeframes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and system faults.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately whilst maintaining accountability.
- Deploy authorised software and manage user accounts across multiple platforms.
- Contribute to IT projects and service improvements.
- Work collaboratively with thirdparty managed service providers.
- Participate in shift and oncall rotas.
Main duties of the job
As an IT Operations Engineer, youll be a key part of the team responsible for keeping our digital infrastructure reliable, secure and available. Youll provide frontline IT support, take ownership of technical issues through to resolution, and work closely with colleagues and thirdparty partners to ensure excellent service delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a handson IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, and working across a broad technical landscape whilst helping shape innovative and digitally-led IT services.
Location: Multi-site, including Crowborough and East Grinstead
Hours: Fixed-term (6-month contract), full-time
Salary: up to £27,222.00 per annum, depending on experience

Person Specification
About You
- Prior experience in an IT service desk or helpdesk role.
- Experience working within an service management framework.
- Experience supporting Office 365 and enterprise security tools.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
- Active Directory user administration
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Remote support tools
- Endpoint security / antivirus solutions
- Understanding of core IT technologies such as TCP/IP, WiFi and unified communications.
- Experience working in a healthcare or regulated environment
