Logistics & Transport Apprentice
Hovis Bakeries, are looking for someone with drive, enthusiasm, willingness to learn to join our Transport Team as a Logistics & Transport Apprentice.
- Problem Solving, ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good computer skills in MS Office packages/Excel
- Motivated and able to work in a busy environment
Role
- Work towards completing Level 2 Traffic Office Apprenticeship
- Driver debriefs and admin
- Route planning and transport scheduling
- Vehicle tracking and telematics
- Transport Legislation and driver hours
- Investigating delivery and customer service issues
- Working with and supporting drivers
- Producing reports
- Understanding how a HGV fleet is managed safely and efficiently
Training
- You will meet with your training provider every 3 months to assess progress on your training program
- Your training provider will be able to support you via email, teams meeting and using a virtual learning environment
- Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard
After successful completion of your apprenticeship there maybe the option for you to progress to Level 3 Transport Supervisor training.

- Shifts will be on a 7 day a week working rota which may include some weekends and or Bank holidays. Shifts will be explained/discussed at interview.
