They are now looking for a Trainee Data Analyst to join their finance analytics team. This position is ideal for someone who is naturally analytical and wants to build a long-term career in financial data.
The RoleYou will begin by learning the fundamentals of financial data analysis, from collecting and cleaning data to presenting insights that influence business decisions. You will be supported by experienced analysts who will guide your technical and professional development.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Assisting in gathering and preparing financial data from multiple sources.
- Building reports and dashboards that highlight key trends and performance indicators.
- Working with finance and business teams to provide data-driven insights.
- Supporting project work such as forecasting, variance analysis, and modelling.
- Learning and applying new tools and methods for data visualisation and automation.
You do not need prior experience, but you should have a strong interest in data and a willingness to learn.
You will likely have:
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Confident Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
- Curiosity about tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or R.
- An interest in how data influences financial performance.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Salary of £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working model, typically 2–3 days in the office.

- Clear progression path to a Data Analyst position within 12–18 months.
