At Howdens, we're looking for an ambitious Junior Product Owner to join our Digital & Business Systems team. This is a fantastic development role designed for individuals at the start of their career who are eager to learn, grow and gain hands-on experience in digital transformation, technology delivery and product ownership.
- This is a permanent full time opportunity based from our Raunds office in Northamptonshire
- You must live within 60 minutes of us
- A full UK driving license is required
- Applicants must have the existing right to work in the UK. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What you'll be doing
- Working alongside experienced Product Owners, you'll learn how digital products are shaped, prioritised and delivered across the business
- Support the development of digital products and business systems
- Gather and document business requirements
- Help turn ideas into user stories and product backlog items
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business
- Take part in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
- Support testing and the successful launch of new features
- Use data and analytics to understand performance and identify opportunities
- Research market trends, competitor activity and customer needs
- Contribute ideas that improve the customer and colleague experience
You might be:
- Someone with A Levels or equivalent and a genuine interest in technology or a recent graduate in a STEM-related subject
- Looking to move into a digital or technology-focused career
- Naturally curious and keen to learn
- Comfortable analysing information and solving problems
- Confident communicating with different people
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Interested in digital transformation, technology, e-commerce or business improvement
