BI Developer

Job summary

We are seeking a talented BI Developer to join our Systems and Integration Development team. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and supporting BI systems and reporting tools, delivering high-quality clinical and management information to end users across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide specialist knowledge in BI development to a range of end users.
  • Develop and implement robust systems for clinical and management reporting.
  • Offer training and support on new features and enhancements.
  • Investigate and develop new reporting methods using the latest programming and analytical methodologies.
  • Build effective relationships with clinicians, managers, and IT colleagues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to degree standard or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Qualification in Computer Programming
Desirable
  • Evidence of ongoing personal development

Experience

Essential
  • Minimum of one year's experience working in an Information Development role or environment analysing complex data using a variety of sources/information systems
  • Ability to set up clinical and non clinical information systems to collect and query/analyse complex patient level data for reporting and audit purposes
  • Specialist I.T. skills and expert user in software and programming tools for developments such as SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, TFS.
Desirable
  • Understanding of hospital systems such as Patient Administration Systems
  • Experience of data analysis and interpretation in a clinical environment
  • Familiar with Insource AHDE and Data Academy.
