Junior Tester

Job summary

The post holder should haveknowledge of Systems Development Testing andtoassistin the development, implementation and testing of Clinical systems and reporting tools to provide high quality clinical and management information to end users throughout the Trust. To provide testing support for enhancements of core hospitals systems.

Main duties of the job

  • Assistin the provision of specialist knowledge on system development and testing to a range of end users across the Trust

  • Assistin the development and implementation of robust systems for the collection of both clinical and management information to aid the smooth running of services and performance management

  • Provide training and support on newly developed systems and work with end users on developing enhancements

  • Investigate and develop new methodsofreportingusing the latest programming and analytical methodologies that are available

Education Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to degree level in IT or equivalent experience/knowledge
  • Agile Scrum
  • Experience with automation tools such as Jest, selenium, Zephyr, Mocha, cucumber, nUnit or similar
  • Educated to degree level in software testing (ISTQB or similar)

Occupational experience and abilities

Essential
  • Minimum of two years' experience in Software testing and Quality Assurance (QA) role within the NHS or equivalent.
  • Practical & theoretical knowledge of IT equipment, MS operating systems and applications.
  • Working in an Agile environment
  • Automated testing experience e.g. Jest, selenium, Zephyr, Mocha, cucumber, nUnit or similar
Desirable
  • Web development & programming skills to include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, VB.
  • Experience of the NHS or a customer caring environment.
  • Experience of development
  • Previous experience in IT support role
  • Understanding of NHS Digital DCB-0129 - Clinical Safety Management
  • Experience of working in the JIRA software
