Maternity Digital Lead Midwife
Job summary
A digital lead midwife responsible for managing the Maternity Electronic Patient Record (EPR) System; Badgernet. This includes operation of the EPR service, the service support arrangements and sustainability of the system. You will be responsible for managing support partners in the delivery of the service, user training, redesign, enhancements and configuration to ensure the solution delivers the clinical record to the highest possible standard. Will work effectively within the multidisciplinary team in relation to the EPR and must have expert knowledge of the EPR system providing system user support, promotion of good practice, assessment of system change and integration with other health solutions. You will carry out auditing and reporting on system utilization for all levels across the trust from individuals, senior managers to external agencies, acting on findings taking any corrective action to uphold the standards required of the trust and the profession.
Main duties of the job
Provide leadership, expert advice and be a resource on the maternity digital agenda for the Trust Represent the Trust at networks, conferences and other meetings regarding Trust developments and play an active role in sharing progress and learning with others Ensure that the maternity digital program is fully integrated with all relevant Trust programmes and initiatives. Review current and future clinical information requirements to identify, initiate and coordinate appropriate digital improvement project proposals Coordinates and integrates into clinical care the various facets of any new systems/developments being implemented including clinical requirements, training, IT helpdesk support, network support, senior management and risk management Play a key role in managing the Maternity IT system across sites working with the clinical leads and staff including addressing data quality issues and provision of data analysis Initiate change to facilitate full acceptance and use of an Maternity electronic record

Education & Qualifications
- UK NMC registered Midwife
- Midwifery Degree or equivalent
- Evidence of learning beyond registration
- Leadership/management qualification
- Masters level degree or working towards
- Teaching qualification
Knowledge, Training & Experience
- Band 6 Midwife
- Experience of being a positive role model to other staff
- Experience of multidisciplinary team working
- Good IT skills including use of PowerPoint or other presentation systems
- Experience of teaching individuals or group
- Presenting and teaching skills
- Implementation of EPR systems
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Able to work autonomously while maintaining a close relationship with others in the MDT
