IT Business Support Administrator (12-Month FTC – Hybrid/Remote)
A leading, fast-growing global financial services group is seeking an IT Business Support Administrator to join its centralised IT operations in Milton Keynes. Supporting over 15,000 employees worldwide across multiple international offices—including senior executives and VIP users, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient operations of its IT Services.
The successful candidate will be directly supporting the company's IT Access Management Team, responsible for IT Security Administration activities, managing the company's Joiners, Movers, and Leavers (JML) process.
You will provide essential administrative and coordination support to ensure that the department runs efficiently performing duties such as team scheduling, reporting, SLA monitoring, documentation, IT procurement, stakeholder management, along with looking at continuous improvement activities. This role would suit someone with a background in Administration, Service Delivery, IT Operations, IT Coordination, Executive Assistant, or Business Support, and is an excellent opportunity to develop your experience in a fast-paced, structured, and collaborative environment.
This position is offered on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract to support the company's term demand and growth, with good scope to grow into a permanent position longer term.
Responsibilities
- Support the IT services team with daily administrative tasks, including maintaining documentation, processing tickets, and handling access requests.
- Coordinate the JML lifecycle activities—ensuring timely setup for new joiners, updates for internal movers, and removal of access for leavers.
- Process and track access-related requests through the ServiceNow ITSM platform, ensuring all workload and provisioning statuses are accurately updated in relevant records and documents.
- Manage incoming requests from employees and automated processes in the ITSM system, ensuring all tasks are logged, prioritised, and completed within agreed timeframes.
- Provide regular communication and updates to employees regarding outstanding orders, tasks, and access-related requests.
- Liaise with and delegate tasks to relevant internal teams as required, ensuring smooth coordination and timely issue resolution.
- Assist in maintaining and improving documentation for JML and access management processes.
- Monitor task queues, ensuring requests are actioned promptly and escalating issues where necessary.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and general administrative activities across the IT operations team.
- Utilise Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and tracking—Excel knowledge preferred.
Requirements
- 3+ year of experience in an administrative, coordination, or business support role—ideally within an IT, corporate, or professional services environment
- Good working knowledge of Office 365, familiarity with Intune and ServiceNow or other IT service management tools.
- Understanding ITIL best practices or willingness to learn.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a strong eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work within set deadlines.
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum
Location: Remote (2 days per month on-site in Milton Keynes)
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months) – Possible permanent
