DevOps Engineer £70k - ID47691

DevOps Engineer

📍 Hybrid Working

🕒 Full-Time

Our client is offering an opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to step into a position where your ideas and improvements will directly shape a growing technical environment.

Rather than focusing purely on maintenance, this role is centred around evolution and ownership. You will help refine how systems are built, deployed, and supported, while working closely with a collaborative team to improve performance, reliability, and overall developer experience.

This is well suited to someone who enjoys asking “how can this be better?” and then making it happen.

What You Will Get to Be Part Of

  • Improving how software moves from development into live environments in a smooth and reliable way
  • Shaping a cloud-based platform so it scales effectively as demand grows
  • Introducing smarter automation to reduce manual effort and increase consistency
  • Helping teams gain better visibility into system behaviour and performance
  • Playing a key role in strengthening secure ways of working across systems and processes
  • Contributing to technical decisions that influence the direction of the platform
  • Supporting a culture that values learning, feedback, and continuous improvement

The Environment You Will Work In

You will be part of a team that values practical problem solving, collaboration, and steady improvement over perfection.

There is a strong focus on:

  • Clean, maintainable systems
  • Thoughtful use of automation
  • Building with reliability in mind from the start
  • Sharing knowledge and learning as a team

You will have the space to explore new ideas and the support to put them into practice.

About You

This role would suit someone who:

  • Enjoys working across both infrastructure and engineering challenges
  • Has experience supporting or improving live production systems
  • Is comfortable working in cloud-based environments
  • Likes writing scripts or code to simplify tasks and solve problems
  • Has worked with modern development and deployment practices
  • Understands the importance of security and reliability in day-to-day work

You might already be in a DevOps or platform-focused role, or you could be transitioning from a strong systems or engineering background.

Experience That Will Help You Succeed

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern hosting environments
  • Experience working with automation or configuration tools
  • Exposure to container-based systems or similar technologies
  • Understanding of how applications behave in production
  • Awareness of monitoring, alerting, or incident response approaches
  • An interest in improving processes, not just following them

What You Can Expect in Return

  • A competitive salary with additional long-term incentives
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements
  • The chance to make meaningful technical contributions in a growing environment
  • A supportive team that values ideas and initiative
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • Life assurance and income protection

Diversity and Inclusion

Our client and the recruiting partner are committed to building inclusive teams and creating an environment where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive. Different perspectives are welcomed and valued.
