iOS - Full Stack Engineer - Up to £100,000 - ID43573

Do you love building powerful, user-facing tech that interacts with hardware?

Do you thrive in intellectually demanding environments?

Are you ready to shape a product, platform, and engineering culture - all at once?

Our client is an ambitious deep-tech start-up solving meaningful challenges through applied innovation. They're seeking a Senior iOS Developer (it is much more than that!) to take ownership of a product that blends mobile, embedded, and cloud technologies into one unified system.

This isn't just another development job - it's a pivotal role in a company scaling something extraordinary.

Why This Role is Great

This role is crafted for someone who wants to combine deep technical skill with strategic thinking in a high-impact environment. It's especially appealing if you enjoy applying your academic rigour to real-world, user-centred problems:

  • Lead iOS development for a connected device that's redefining its category
  • Influence the technical roadmap, architecture, and engineering culture
  • Collaborate across disciplines - from hardware to UX to regulatory
  • Contribute to everything from BLE integrations and embedded firmware, to Python automation and GCP infrastructure
  • Mentor and support junior engineers as the team expands
  • Work in a fast-paced, agile environment that values smart, iterative execution

About You

You bring curiosity, technical depth, and the desire to solve hard problems. This role is particularly suited to those from academically demanding or research-intensive environments, but we care most about how you think, learn, and lead:

  • Deep experience with iOS development (Swift/Objective-C) and mobile-to-hardware communication (e.g. Bluetooth LE)
  • Background in Embedded C, Python scripting, and familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
  • Strong computer science fundamentals - algorithms, architecture, systems thinking
  • Comfortable working in a startup or agile environment where you wear many hats
  • Collaborative mindset with clear, thoughtful communication skills
  • Based in or willing to relocate to London - the role is primarily on-site with flexibility

Ready to Apply?

Take the lead. Build something that matters. Help shape the tech of tomorrow.

Diversity & Inclusion

We and our client are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone is respected, valued, and empowered. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities - even if you don't meet every single bullet point above.

If you're excited by the role and passionate about making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
