Senior Administration Assistant

Job summary

An exciting Opportunity has arisen for the role of Band 3 Senior Administrator with Avondale Inpatient Ward.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable individual to provide administrative support and assist in the day-to-day coordination of ward administration duties.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support the effective running of the ward.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in a busy inpatient ward environment.

Main duties of the job

Coordinating daily ward administration tasks.

Supporting admissions, discharges and patient flow processes.

Maintaining accurate electronic patients records on SystmOne.

Communicating effectively with staff.To have oversight over petty cash maintenance and cash float for the unit.

Support business meeting by taking notes and preparing minutes.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

Essential
  • Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL
  • 3 or more GCSE/O levels which must include English and Maths
  • A' Level/BTEC Diploma/NVQ3 Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent experiential learning

Experience

Essential
  • Demonstrable experience of practice and procedures relevant to the area of work
  • Experience of IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of preparing agendas and papers, writing minutes, noting and monitoring the completion of actions
Desirable
  • Maintaining the quality and integrity of data in Trust IT systems - e.g. Oracle, SystemOne
  • Experience of use of Microsoft Teams.
  • Working knowledge of mental health, learning disabilities and autism services.

Skills and Competencies

Essential
  • Able to demonstrate inter-personal communication skills
  • Able to plan and prioritise effectively
