Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic, and innovative individual to join an evolving digital team.

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Technical Operations Manager, based in Kingston Upon Hull with flexibility for remote work. The role will provide senior operational leadership for the Integration portfolio and Service Management functions of Interweave, ensuring the safe, efficient and resilient operation of core digital services. The post-holder acts as a senior technical specialist in system integrations and interoperability, while also providing oversight of service management capabilities in line with ITIL frameworks and national digital policy.

Main duties of the job

  • Knowledge, experience & expertise in IT/Digital management & staff management
  • Senior level experience in systems integration and Integration Engine tools
  • Advanced knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Deep understanding, experience and knowledge of FHIR/HL7
  • Solid experience of cloud platforms, infrastructure and cyber security
  • Experience of Supplier management and Contract Performance Management

Job description

Job responsibilities

Provide daytoday operational and line management for a team of Integration Engineers and a Service Manager

Lead recruitment, staff development, and professional standards for the technical functions

Act as the teams senior technical specialist for integration technologies (e.g. HL7v2/v3, FHIR, APIs, interface engines, and interoperability standards)

Participate in rootcause analysis and resolution for major technical incidents.

Provide senior oversight of Service Desk operations, incident/problem/change processes, and SLA delivery

Lead on service reporting including KPIs, performance dashboards, and service reviews

Develop and deliver roadmaps for integration and interoperability projects and team activities

Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and mitigations

Be responsible for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) covering technical team capabilities

Participate on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) advising on digital strategy, technical architecture, and transformation planning

Direct and Contract manage external suppliers delivering the capabilities needed to supplement the core team, including Cyber, Infrastructure and Cloud Platform services

Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellent customer service
