Development Lead/ Technical Manager (Director) - Up to £150,000 + Bonus + Package
Location: London (Hybrid) | Industry: Banking & Financial Services
We're looking for an experienced Technology Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams within our bank's core technology function. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep C#/.NET expertise who enjoys shaping technical direction while mentoring and developing people.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers delivering critical banking platforms
- Drive technical excellence across our C#/.NET stack, ensuring clean, scalable, and secure solutions
- Partner with product owners, architects, and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Set coding standards, review designs, and guide architectural decisions
- Balance people leadership with technical oversight, fostering a strong engineering culture
What we're looking for
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams in an enterprise environment
- Strong hands-on background in C# / .NET (Core), with solid understanding of modern development practices
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments is a strong advantage
