Long-Term Engagement on an Initial 6-Month Contract

We have partnered with a leading Financial Services business who are seeking an experienced RightAngle Developer to join its technology team supporting the Commodities business. The role will focus on the development, enhancement and integration of the ION RightAngle CTRM platform, supporting the end-to-end commodity trade life cycle across trading, risk, operations, settlements and downstream processing.

The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance and Technology teams to deliver robust solutions within a fast-paced financial markets environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and support ION RightAngle functionality across the commodity trade life cycle.
• Work closely with Commodity Trading, Operations, Risk and Finance teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Support trade capture, life cycle processing, confirmations, settlements, accounting, reconciliations and downstream integrations
• Develop and maintain interfaces between RightAngle and internal/external trading, risk, market data and Back Office systems.
• Analyse and resolve production issues, ensuring timely resolution of business-critical incidents.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, configuration changes and integration initiatives.
• Develop automated testing and deployment processes to improve application quality and release efficiency.
• Work with database, messaging and integration technologies to support high-volume financial transactions.
• Collaborate with global technology and business teams across the Commodities organisation.
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to development standards, code reviews and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience developing and supporting ION RightAngle/RightAngle CTRM
• Good understanding of commodity trading and the end-to-end trade life cycle.
• Experience across Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office processes.
• Strong understanding of trade processing, settlements, reconciliations and financial accounting.
• Experience integrating RightAngle with other enterprise applications and financial-market platforms.
• Strong SQL/database experience.
• Experience with APIs, messaging and enterprise integration technologies.
• Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in investment banking, commodities, financial markets or trading environments .
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile development and automated testing.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with traders, operations, risk and technology stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience within Metals, Energy or physical commodities .
• Knowledge of OTC and exchange-traded commodity products.
• Experience with commodity scheduling, logistics, inventory or physical settlement processes.
• Experience with market data, risk and P&L integration.
• Experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka or similar enterprise technologies .
• CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Previous experience within a major investment bank or financial institution.
