Senior Data Platform Engineer - Financial Trading

My leading Financial trading client are looking for a talented and motivated individual to define and enforce an enterprise data platform strategy, making it available and accessible to other developers across the organization. You'll collaborate with multiple teams, guiding them to leverage a unified platform for data-driven insights and business decision-making. You'll ensure the platform's scalability, maintainability, and security, while setting the technical standards that guide the development and implementation of data solutions.

This is a brilliant long-term contract opportunity for an amazing client!

The following skills / experience is essential:

• Proven experience in defining and managing enterprise-level data platforms for large organizations.
• Previously worked in a Financial Services Trading environment.
• Expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data architecture.
• Familiarity with Snowflake for cloud data warehousing.
• Familiarity with tools like Denodo, Dremio, Kafka, and MinIO.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java for building scalable solutions.

Rate: Up to £750/day

Duration: 6 months +

Location: London (3 days in the office per week)
