Salary: Up To £130,000 P/A + Comps
A high-performing global team is looking for an experienced Java/Python Engineer to help build and enhance critical Back End platforms supporting complex risk, trading and data workflows. This is a hands-on role focused on scalable engineering, distributed systems, large datasets and delivering robust solutions within a fast-paced financial environment.
What you'll be doing
- Building and enhancing Java and Python-based Back End services and risk data pipelines
- Working with complex risk and trading datasets to support analytics, reporting and downstream processing
- Developing APIs, automation tools and scalable distributed applications
- Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders across risk, Front Office and engineering teams
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Java and/or Python within enterprise environments
- Experience building Back End services, APIs or distributed systems using technologies such as Spring Boot, FastAPI, Flask or Django
- Strong SQL and data processing skills, with exposure to large-scale data environments
- Previous experience working with risk platforms, risk data, trading, PnL or capital markets technology
Experience with messaging technologies, cloud platforms, microservices or investment banking environments would be highly beneficial.
