The role:

My client are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to join their team.

You will work on cutting edge, low latency, highly optimised Linux Compute environments which serve as the backbone of Trading Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Managing large scale Linux environments
• Platform standardisation, automation, testing and monitoring
• Adhering to best practices for source control, testing, CI/CD and configuration management
• Working with petabyte scale storage systems
• Automating the estate wherever possible

Core skills required:

• Extensive experience working in Linux environments
• Configuration Management – Ansible / Chef
• Storage – NGS / GPFS / WEKA etc.
• Python
• Observability – ELK / Prometheus / Grafana / VictoriaMetrics etc.
• Cloud experience useful – AWS / GCP
