Hunters’ client is looking for a Software / Control Systems Engineer to join its growing team in Storrington.

This is a varied, hands-on engineering role combining software development, PLC programming, control systems and technical problem-solving. 

Software / Control Systems Engineer – The Role

• Design, program and maintain PLC-based control systems using Siemens TIA Portal
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across production and testing environments
• Develop, modify and enhance LabVIEW applications supporting test and engineering activities
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical and production engineers to develop practical control solutions
• Support the continuous improvement of control systems, equipment and testing processes

Software / Control Systems Engineer – The Fit
 We're looking for a technically curious and methodical engineer who enjoys solving problems and getting hands-on with complex systems.

You'll ideally have:

• A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Software, Control Systems, Automation, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Practical experience with PLC programming, ideally Siemens TIA Portal
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across software and hardware
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a technically demanding environment
• A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work across different engineering disciplines
