Lead Developer - Liquid Logic Upgrade3-6 Month Contract | £550 per day | Hybrid - Midlands
We are a leading UK local authority is undertaking a critical upgrade of its Liquid Logic Children's Social Care platform. This isn't a replacement project; it's about improving and enhancing the existing system that sits at the heart of statutory children's services.
We're looking for a hands-on Liquid Logic specialist who can lead the technical design and delivery of this upgrade with confidence, clarity, and deep system knowledge.
What you'll be doing
You'll own the technical delivery of the Liquid Logic upgrade from design through to go-live. This means configuring workflows, forms, and processes within the system; working directly with social care teams to translate their needs into working solutions; leading system testing and data integrity checks; and ensuring the platform is ready for deployment.
You'll be the go-to expert on all things Liquid Logic within Children's Services. You'll work across teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, document changes, and transfer knowledge to internal colleagues so the system is sustainable beyond your contract.
This is a delivery-focused role. You'll be expected to get your hands dirty in the system, not just advise from the sidelines.
What you need to have
Expert-level experience with Liquid Logic in a Children's Social Care context. You've been the person configuring workflows, building forms, and solving complex system challenges. You've led or been central to Liquid Logic upgrades, implementations, or major reconfigurations before. You understand the statutory requirements and social care processes that underpin the system.
You've worked within UK local authorities and understand the pace, complexity, and scrutiny that comes with delivering change in children's services. You're comfortable working in a hybrid environment with regular onsite presence in the early stages of the project.
What would set you apart
Previous experience working with large unitary authorities or councils with complex Liquid Logic environments. A background in system development, digital transformation, or change delivery within social care settings. Experience managing go-lives, user adoption, or post-implementation support.
This is a rare opportunity to work on a high-impact project within statutory children's services. If you're a Liquid Logic expert who can deliver under pressure and wants to work on something that genuinely matters, we'd like to hear from you.
