Trade Support Engineer

We have a current opportunity for a Trade Support Engineer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in London. For further information about this position please apply.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background and experience in eMarket systems at both a technical level and a business level for FX and Precious Metals, possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to communicate clearly to Front Office users and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Platform & venue configuration: manage and maintain configuration across all supported venues and systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with business requirements
  • Application support: provide expert-level support for the eMarkets platform, responding quickly to issues and service requests in line with the Banks governance standards
  • Business engagement: act as a liaison between IT and front office teams, translating business needs into configuration actions
  • Operational resilience: ensure system robustness and contribute to business continuity planning
  • Knowledge management:
  • create, maintain and update working instructions and documentation
  • ensure knowledge capture and transfer is a mandatory and ongoing function of the role
  • contribute to a centralised knowledge base to support team learning and operational efficiency
  • Testing & change management: participate in functional and user acceptance testing (FAT/UAT) for projects impacting eCommerce IT
  • Callout & support expectations: participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues outside of business hours
    • Good working knowledge of FX and Precious Metals trade processing, trade types, and straight-through processing.
    • Strong knowledge of 3rd party trading and market data platform providers such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, TT and Ffastfill.
    • Familiarity and experience with API integrations, FIX onboarding and web services.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
