Sutton
We’re working exclusively with a fast-growing UK tech company that’s redefining how local communities connect. Their platform originally made it easy for musicians and venues to find each other — and has since expanded into new sectors, helping local people and businesses collaborate and find work with ease.
They’re now looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join their in-house team in Sutton and take ownership of testing across both their mobile (Flutter) and web platforms.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a creative, mission-driven company with strong growth plans and a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and quality.
The Role
As the QA Tester , you’ll ensure that every release across mobile and web is rock-solid, user-friendly, and ready for prime time. You’ll be deeply involved in the Agile process — collaborating with developers, analysts, and product owners to make sure testing is thorough, efficient, and aligned with business goals.
It’s a hands-on role where attention to detail, curiosity, and a passion for clean user experiences will make you stand out.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements and specs to create detailed, effective test cases.
- Execute manual testing across iOS, Android, and web (functional, regression, and exploratory).
- Validate responsive layouts, cross-platform consistency, and API integrations.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams in Agile ceremonies.
- Support UAT and release testing, including app store validation.
- Maintain high-quality test documentation and contribute to release reports.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in manual QA testing within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong background testing both mobile (Flutter experience preferred) and web applications.
- Experience testing across a range of devices, browsers, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail or Azure Test Plans.
- Confident with API testing (e.g., Postman).
- Excellent defect reporting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Playwright, Flutter Driver) would be advantageous.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- Knowledge of app store and Google Play release validation.
- Enthusiasm for test automation and continuous improvement.
Why Join This Team
- Be part of a tech company with a real community focus — connecting people and opportunities locally.
- Join a creative, fast-paced environment that encourages ideas and innovation.
- Competitive £50k salary and the chance to make a genuine impact on a growing platform.
- Collaborative, office-based team in Sutton — no corporate red tape, just energy and ideas.
