Finance & Operations Lead — Early-Stage AI Consultancy

We’re bringing our finance function in‐house and need someone who can own the numbers while shaping how finance supports the wider business. This is a rare chance to join early, influence how we scale, and grow alongside a company with serious momentum.

What You’ll Do

Finance

• Lead full month-end close: journals, reconciliations, accruals & prepayments
• Build budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Produce insightful management accounts that tell the story, not just the numbers
• Handle VAT returns and ensure UK accounting compliance

Operations, HR & Legal

• Partner closely with the Senior Value Partner across operational functions
• Support HR: onboarding, contracts, employee records
• Assist with legal and compliance matters
• Jump into whatever the business needs — no two weeks look the same

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills

• Fully qualified in ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• 4+ years in finance (analyst or similar), ideally in a startup/scale-up
• Solid understanding of UK accounting standards
• Confident with modelling, budgeting, and reporting
• Excel whiz + mandatory experience with Xero
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
