Oracle CPQ Technical Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle CPQ Cloud Technical Consultant to support a strategic implementation project. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in the Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) Cloud platform and a proven ability to design, implement, customize, and maintain complex CPQ solutions. This role requires both technical depth and leadership capability, including client engagement, cross-team coordination, and team leadership.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and offshore resources to deliver scalable and high-quality CPQ solutions that align with client requirements and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into Oracle CPQ solutions.
  • Provide guidance on CPQ best practices, solution architecture, and implementation strategy.
  • Onshore–Offshore Coordination
  • Coordinate effectively between onshore client teams and offshore delivery teams.
  • Ensure clear communication of requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage dependencies and support seamless collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor CPQ developers and functional consultants.
  • Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of Oracle CPQ solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project timelines.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Oracle CPQ Cloud configurations, including product configuration rules, pricing logic, and quoting workflows.
  • Develop and maintain BML scripts, Commerce processes, integrations, and customizations.
  • Configure product catalogs, attributes, constraints, and pricing models.
  • Integrate Oracle CPQ with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, and billing platforms.
  • Support system testing, UAT, deployment, and post-implementation maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize CPQ performance.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle CPQ Cloud platform.
  • Expertise in BML (BigMachines Markup Language).
  • Experience with Commerce flows, configuration rules, and pricing strategies.
  • Knowledge of CPQ integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale CPQ implementations.
  • Prior experience in client-facing consulting roles.
  • Strong experience working with distributed onshore/offshore teams.
