ASIC Design Engineer
Location: London or UK Remote
I am seeking an ASIC Design Engineer to join a rapidly growing scale-up at the forefront of hardware security for AIoT. This is a business-critical role where you will play a key part in designing and implementing advanced systems and post-quantum cryptography solutions.
This is an outstanding opportunity offering exceptional flexibility. You can choose to work from their London office and enjoy the energy of city life, or work fully remotely from anywhere in the UK, with occasional on-site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and verify digital hardware modules for high-security applications.
- Create robust designs suitable for both ASIC and FPGA implementations.
- Contribute to the full digital design lifecycle, from concept through to deployment.
- Develop hardware architectures supporting cryptographic functionality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree + 5 years of experience, or a PhD in a security- or cryptography-related field + 2 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and hardware architectures.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience developing testbenches for verification.
- Familiarity with RISC-V processor cores.
- Post-quantum cryptography experience is highly desirable.

- Salary up to £85,000, depending on experience and depth of cryptography expertise.
