Embedded Field Applications Engineer

New opportunity for an Embedded Field Application Engineer in Northamptonshire. The Field Application Engineer acts as a technical liaison between our client and their customers, providing technical support, and guidance to ensure successful integration of products and solutions. You will work closely with the sales and engineering teams. Suitable applicants will have a relevant degree and at least 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering with strong knowledge of Embedded Systems. You should have some C/C++, RTOS, linux, VX Works expertise and a good appreciation of hardware. It is also beneficial to have an understanding of the sales process.

The Field Application Engineer needs to be very happy working closely with the customer, understanding their needs, specifications, and expectations, and translating them into technical requirements for the developer and then providing long term technical support and after sales support. This role will be office based but will also involve a requirement to visit customers and work on-site. Strong communication and problem solving skills are essential for this role as is the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner and to see the bigger picture.
