Embedded Software Engineer

This established business is entering an exciting new phase, developing a next-generation Fixed Wireless Access platform as part of a highly agile, start-up-style R&D environment. The team are now looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to play a key role in the development, optimisation and support of Linux-based embedded platforms powering their latest products.
You’ll work closely with hardware, systems and networking teams, contributing across low-level software, BSPs and platform performance as products move rapidly from development into deployment.
For this Embedded Linux Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:
- Strong experience developing embedded software in C/C++
- Solid experience with Embedded Linux, including kernel and BSP development
- Understanding of Linux networking and system-level debugging
- Experience using Yocto to build and customise embedded Linux distributions
- Ability to work across fast-moving projects with evolving requirements
- Ideally, exposure to high-performance or low-latency networking systems
