Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer now needed in Bristol to join well established company in industrial sector. I am seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with 4 yrs plus Embedded C / baremetal programming expertise to design and develop embedded firmware for industrial tools and their related interface and communication systems. Applicants need to have some of the following areas of expertise:

• Comms protocols - SPI, CAN, RS485
• Debugging expertise using tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analysers
• Experience of using source-code control systems such as Git
• Good appreciation for electronics design
• Experience in developing multithreaded and/or multi-process embedded systems
• UML
• Knowledge of ARM and/or Microchip dsPIC architectures
• scripting language such as Python
• RTOS expertise

You need to have good communication skills being able to collaborate successfully with the software team, and with the wider engineering team ensuring that development milestones and deadlines are met.

Salary to £55k plus benefits and hybrid working.
