Hardware Security Engineer

We’re looking for a Hardware Security Engineer to join a team tackling complex security challenges across electronic and cyber-physical systems.

You’ll investigate vulnerabilities, analyse hardware platforms, develop proof-of-concept solutions, and help deliver innovative approaches to solving challenging security problems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Researching and analysing electronic systems and hardware architectures
  • Identifying hardware and cyber-physical security vulnerabilities
  • Conducting hardware analysis, testing, and vulnerability research
  • Developing proof-of-concept prototypes and technical demonstrations
  • Debugging and analysing hardware using tools such as JTAG, UART, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers
  • Reverse engineering hardware and firmware where required
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical security solutions

We're looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience working with electronics, hardware systems, or security research
  • Hands-on experience debugging hardware and developing prototypes
  • Experience with hardware analysis, testing, or reverse engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex technical challenges
  • The ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively
  • A collaborative approach to working across engineering and security teams

You'll need to be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
