Senior Software Engineer

Highly skilled Software Engineer needed on the South Coast near Portsmouth for a diverse R&D led role. I am seeking a skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in C++ and Python, experience working with Embedded Linux including systems level debug and performance tuning, knowledge of real time systems and an understanding of autonomous systems.

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising autonomy algorithms and systems and should be comfortable handling complex workloads across R&D, prototyping, and mission-critical production deployments. It would be desirable to have experience in ROS or ROS2 and/or DDS based systems, experience with LIDAR, RADAR, cameras, IMUs would be good. Any previous work in the defence, aerospace, or maritime autonomy sectors would be useful.

Suitable applicants need to have strong problem-solving skills and be good communicators, capable of conveying complex technical ideas clearly.

This is a full time, office based role and due to the nature of my clients work applicants will need to be eligible for security clearance. Competitive salary on offer.
