Validation Test Development Engineer

My client is seeking a hands-on Validation / Test Engineer with strong experience working directly on hardware systems to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a highly collaborative engineering team.
What You'll Be Doing

• Validating and testing hardware platforms and storage solutions
• Working across storage concepts, interfaces and media, ensuring reliable performance and compliance
• Analysing large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and failure modes
• Using PCIe knowledge to support evaluation of system behaviour and performance (highly desirable)
• Running tests and debugging using Linux CLI tools and Git for version control
• Collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams to resolve complex issues
  

What They Are Looking For

• Background in SoC, automotive, telecoms, or similar hardware-focused environments
• Strong understanding of basic storage concepts, storage interfaces, and different types of storage media
• Some familiarity with hardware-related protocols and data flows
• Comfortable using Linux command line tools and Git in a test environment
• Experience working directly with physical hardware — not solely software test
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets, with strong problem-solving skills
