Electronic Wiring Apprentice
ICEOxford are seeking an Electronic Wiring Apprentice to join their team in Witney, Oxfordshire working with their manufacturing and build team. You will join their highly skilled team learning to manufacture complex cryo-magnetic research equipment systems.
Role
- Within the role you will be trained to wire different aspects of cryogenic instruments, using very fine wires to an exact specification and high standard
- You will learn to solve wiring and manufacturing problems, ensuring that all items meet test data and are completed/logged in the correct format
- You will learn to supply relevant information and data, working with the assembly team to pack systems for shipment, completing finishing lists as required
- You will be expected to always work with good health & safety processes in the department and following the safe use of cryogenic liquids regulations
Training
Qualifications include:
- Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard. Company Training Plan & Assessment
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge (1 day per week for 2 years at college)
Development Competence Qualification (workplace) - Level 2 Functional Skills - maths (If required)
- Level 2 Functional Skills - English (If required)
- End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship
- The potential to become a Senior Wiring Technician or Test Technician
- Apprenticeship Standard
