Linux /VMware Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Assess client requirements and design Linux / VMware solutions that meet their needs
• Providing Level 3 support for Linux and VMware issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions. 
• Architecting and implementing VMware solutions for enterprise environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCente
• Managing and troubleshooting Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. 
• Implementing security best practices for Linux and VMware environments, including system hardening and vulnerability management. 
• Using scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate tasks, manage infrastructure, and optimize performance
• Working with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux and VMware solutions within the broader IT infrastructure. 

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Linux and VMware environments .
• Strong Linux administration skills: (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter .
• Proficiency in scripting languages: (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience with virtualization concepts and best practices .
• Knowledge of networking concepts and storage technologies: related to VMware.
• Experience with cloud platforms is desirable .
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills .
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills .
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VCP, RHCE) are a plus
