Technical Support Engineer
Job Title: Technical Support Engineer Location: Halifax Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Hours: Full Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday) Are you looking to start your career within technical support and develop your skills within a specialist technology environment? Our client is a growing technology solutions provider supporting businesses with workplace technology, collaboration tools and technical services. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in IT support, customer service, technology or a recent technical qualification who wants to develop their career within a fast paced and varied environment. You'll support customers with technical queries, helping to diagnose issues, resolve problems and ensure external users receive an excellent service. You'll also gain exposure to a wide range of workplace technologies, with full support and training provided to develop your technical knowledge.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first line technical support to customers through telephone, email and remote support tools.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, ensuring problems are managed through to completion.
- Log, update and maintain accurate records of support cases.
- Communicate clearly with customers throughout the support process.
- Assist with system checks, preventative maintenance and technical improvements.
- Support senior members of the technical team with more complex issues.
- Maintain documentation and contribute ideas to improve service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers and external partners.
- Strong problem solving ability and logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to support customers professionally.
- Good organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using ticketing or service management systems.
- Exposure to workplace technology, collaboration tools or hardware support.
- Technical qualifications or relevant training.
