Role: 2nd Line IT Engineer

Location: Chippenham (Hybrid working | 1 day in Office) + Client Site Visits

Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE

Our client, a leading technology services provider, is hiring a 2nd Line IT Engineer to support a fast-paced multi-client environment. This role plays a key part in resolving escalated issues, delivering excellent service, and contributing to project activity. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone ambitious, client-focused, and passionate about developing their technical capability.

What you’ll do

• Provide 2nd Line support across customer-facing and remote channels
• Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and maintain helpdesk workflows
• Configure PCs, servers, firewalls, and contribute to daily system checks including backups
• Maintain accurate client documentation, logs, and reporting
• Assist with project delivery and collaborate with infrastructure teams on escalated tasks

You’ll work closely with service desk and network infrastructure teams to ensure SLA adherence, client satisfaction, and high-quality technical outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years’ experience within an MSP or ISP environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Azure Sync
• Confident supporting Windows, Mac, RDS, and networking technologies including TCP/IP
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate under pressure and within SLAs
