Business Central Functional Consultant (Contract)

Location: Remote (with occasional UK site travel)

Day Rate: £500–£600 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Our client, a leading organisation undergoing a review of its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central setup, is seeking an experienced Business Central Functional Consultant to assess, optimise and enhance their existing implementation.

This role focuses on driving greater value from the system — identifying gaps, improving configuration, and ensuring the business is fully leveraging Business Central’s capabilities.

What you’ll do

• Review and assess the current Business Central implementation
• Identify opportunities for system optimisation and process improvement
• Recommend and implement best-practice configurations and integrations
• Work with business stakeholders to align system setup with operational needs
• Provide strategic guidance on extending Business Central’s functionality across departments

What we’re looking for

• Proven track record delivering and optimising Business Central solutions
• Deep functional understanding across Finance, Operations and Supply Chain modules
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate business requirements into system solutions
• Experience conducting system reviews and delivering actionable improvement plans
• Confident working independently in a consultancy-style engagement
