Working Pattern: 5 days per week onsite
About the Role Our client is an established technology business providing IT support, hardware services and technical solutions to a varied customer base.
They are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join their team in Hereford. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with technology, diagnosing hardware issues and getting devices working efficiently for customers.
You'll work across a varied range of equipment and technical issues, making this a great opportunity to develop your practical IT skills within an established and supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
- Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware
- Build, configure and deploy computers and IT equipment
- Install and configure operating systems and software
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Carry out upgrades, replacements and maintenance
- Prepare equipment for customers and internal users
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and technical work
- Provide technical support and advice where required
- Work closely with the wider technical team to resolve more complex issues
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with computer hardware or IT support
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Confident diagnosing and resolving hardware issues
- Experience building or configuring PCs, laptops or similar equipment
- Basic understanding of networking and connectivity
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- A genuine interest in technology and willingness to learn
