Our client, a leading education organisation, is hiring a Head of Digital Services to lead a pivotal phase of digital transformation. This is a strategic leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver the organisation’s long-term digital vision.

You’ll play a critical role in transitioning digital services from an outsourced model to a high-performing in-house function, helping to build capability, improve service quality, and create a scalable platform for future growth. This role offers genuine influence in taking the organisation forward as it evolves its digital operating model.

What you’ll do

• Lead and deliver a trust-wide digital strategy aligned to organisational goals
• Oversee IT infrastructure, systems, cyber security and service performance
• Transition services from outsourced provision to an in-house model
• Build and develop a high-performing digital and IT team
• Drive innovation and implement scalable digital service models

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, finance, and operational teams to ensure digital services support both day-to-day delivery and long-term strategic growth.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience leading IT/digital services in a complex, multi-site organisation
• Strong technical understanding of infrastructure, cloud, and cyber security
• Experience transitioning from outsourced to in-house service models
• Ability to translate strategy into operational delivery
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capability
