Our client, a leading multi-academy organisation, is hiring a Head of IT to lead a pivotal phase of digital transformation across a growing and high-performing education group.

This role offers the opportunity to build and shape a modern, scalable IT function that directly supports teaching, learning and operational excellence across multiple sites. You’ll play a key role in delivering a forward-thinking digital strategy aligned to long-term growth and innovation.

With over 5,000 users and a strong track record of performance, the organisation is now investing heavily in digital capability, infrastructure and innovation to support its next stage of growth.

What you’ll do

• Lead and deliver a trust-wide IT and digital strategy
• Ensure secure, reliable and high-performing infrastructure and systems
• Oversee cyber security, compliance and digital risk
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing IT team
• Drive innovation and establish a scalable, future-ready service model

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, school leaders and central teams to ensure technology enables outstanding outcomes across the organisation.

What we’re looking for

• Proven leadership of IT / digital services in a complex, multi-site environment
• Strong technical background across infrastructure, cloud and end-user computing
• Experience delivering digital strategy and transformation at scale
• Knowledge of cyber security, compliance and risk management
• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
