Night shift - Full time (37.5 Hours) - Monday-Friday - Gloucester - Salary £56,200
Due to continued growth, my client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent night shift. This is a broad, hands-on engineering role supporting a busy manufacturing environment across planned and reactive maintenance. A strong fault finder with both mechanical and electrical experience would thrive in this position.

Due to continued growth, my client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent night shift. This is a broad, hands-on engineering role supporting a busy manufacturing environment across planned and reactive maintenance. A strong fault finder with both mechanical and electrical experience would thrive in this position.
The Role:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production and facility equipment
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and restore equipment to operation safely and efficiently
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Work with pumps, valves, bearings, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Maintain and repair lathes, presses, CNC routers and water-jet equipment
- Fault find on single-phase and three-phase motors
- Support fault finding on PLCs and associated control systems
- Identify potential equipment failures before they impact production
- Help improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Complete and record maintenance activity through internal CMMS systems
- Work closely with production teams, contractors and external suppliers
- Prioritise maintenance activity in line with production and safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience
- Experience completing planned and reactive maintenance
- Experience working with motors, electrical control systems and three-phase equipment
- PLC fault-finding experience - Advantageous
- Experience with bearings, pumps, valves, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems
- Able to work independently and take ownership of breakdowns and maintenance activity
- Time-served Maintenance Engineer, City & Guilds or NVQ - Advantageous
- MEWP, Counterbalance FLT and welding/fabrication experience - Advantageous
