Our client, a leading organisation within the technology and communications sector, is hiring a Management Accountant to support a key business division and provide insightful financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence commercial decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance, reporting accuracy, and forecasting processes.

What you'll do

  • Produce monthly management accounts, including accounting adjustments and analysis
  • Prepare management information packs with detailed variance analysis and commentary
  • Ensure financial data is accurate and compliant with accounting standards
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to explain financial performance against budget and forecast
  • Identify opportunities for growth, cost savings, and operational efficiencies
  • Review and improve financial processes and controls
  • Support financial aspects of software implementations and business change projects
  • Assist with the integration of acquisitions into the wider organisation
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

You'll work closely with senior finance leaders, operational stakeholders, and commercial teams to provide meaningful financial insight that supports strategic decision-making.

What we're looking for

  • Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and management accounting principles
  • Previous experience producing management accounts and financial analysis
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of NetSuite, Power BI, or PowerPoint would be advantageous
  • AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA would be beneficial
