PHP Developer (Yii Framework) – Contract

Location: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

Rate: Up to £400 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract Length: 6 months

Our client, a leading organisation within the digital solutions space, is seeking a PHP Developer with strong Yii framework experience to support the delivery of scalable, high-quality web applications on an initial 6-month contract.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key projects, enhance existing platforms, and work within a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.

What you’ll do

• Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using PHP and Yii
• Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and uphold development best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications

You’ll work closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions at pace.

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial experience with PHP development
• Proven experience using the Yii framework (Yii2 preferred)
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture
• Experience working with MySQL or similar relational databases
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and version control (Git)
