Sales Development Representative - Junior / Early Career
Birmingham (hybrid, 1-2 days on site)
£28,000 to £32,000 base + commission and bonus

Our client, a leading fintech and procurement intelligence organisation, is hiring a junior Sales Development Representative to open doors with new prospects and support a growing sales team.
It is ideal if you have been in a target driven, customer facing sales role for around a year or more, such as tech retail or contact centre sales, and now want your first proper step into SaaS and B2B sales.
What you will do
- Run targeted outbound activity across phone, email and LinkedIn to book quality demos for the sales team
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads, understanding who is a good fit and what problems they are trying to solve
- Warm up opportunities for the BDMs by building rapport with stakeholders in Bid, Sales, BD and Procurement teams
- Follow simple, structured cadences and keep CRM notes, tasks and pipeline tidy and up to date
- Use modern sales tools such as HubSpot and Sales Navigator and share feedback on what messaging works
What we are looking for
- Around 12 months or more in a target or KPI driven, customer facing role. For example:
- Technical retail sales such as Carphone Warehouse, mobile networks, broadband or electronics
- Contact centre sales or upsell roles
- Junior SDR or BDR roles
- Comfortable working to targets and having numbers to hit, with some exposure to outbound calling or upselling
- Genuine interest in technology and SaaS. You are curious about how software solves problems for businesses and want to build a career in this space
- Clear, confident communicator on the phone and in writing, able to keep things simple for the customer
- Hungry to learn. You take feedback well, want to improve each month and enjoy being part of a supportive, high performing team
- Able to work hybrid from Birmingham, at least two days per week in the office
