Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid – 1 day per week on-site)

Rate: £300 – £450 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract: 3-month initial term (potential extension)

Our client, a specialist consultancy, is seeking a Contract Software Developer to support ongoing customer projects. You’ll join a small, collaborative team delivering high-quality software solutions across a range of industries.

This role is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys hands-on project work, liaising directly with customers, and contributing to a flexible, delivery-focused environment.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain web applications using C# and .NET
• Work closely with customers to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions
• Take ownership of features from design through to deployment
• Contribute to best practices in code quality, performance, and security
• Explore opportunities to support emerging mobile development initiatives

You’ll work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of customer projects, with autonomy and clear outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in C# and .NET web development
• Strong understanding of software architecture and lifecycle delivery
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage customers
• Self-sufficient and comfortable working in a small, agile team
• Interest in exploring mobile technologies or cross-platform tools
