Data, AI & Analytics Internal Audit Lead

Data, AI & Audit Leader Our client, that operates within the financial services sector is hiring a Data, AI & Audit Leader to help their customers manage their data and AI risk efficiently.  You will be a pivotal leader of our clients AI automation data risk strategies, whilst having the ability to perform internal audit responsibilities partnering with several Tier one banking corporations. Our client is offering a basic salary £100,000 to £130,000 + 10% bonus + exceptional benefits plus hybrid working to be based in London on a full-time basis (sponsorship approved).You’ll be responsible for delivering data management, AI assurance, and analytics audits, helping clients to design and embed strong data and AI governance frameworks. You’ll also lead the use of AI and analytics tools to automate and enhance internal audit processes - improving efficiency, accuracy, and insight.This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives at the intersection of data, AI, and risk management, and wants to shape the future of audit within a fast-evolving digital landscape.

1. Plan, lead, and deliver data management, AI, and analytics audits for clients across multiple sectors.
2. Provide advisory services - designing and implementing data and AI governance frameworks and practical, proportionate controls.
3. Define and assure compliance against data and AI standards, including data quality, lineage, and metadata management.
4. Help build and expand the data and internal audit practice, developing new propositions that meet client and market needs.
5. Drive business development, building trusted client relationships and contributing to revenue growth.
6. Leverage data and AI technologies to automate audit processes and deliver meaningful, data-driven assurance insights.

Essential skills:

1. Proven experience delivering data management, AI assurance, or analytics audits within internal audit or advisory environments is a must have.
2. Strong understand standing of IT Audit concepts, designing AI-enables audit workflows and automation tools to delver efficient saving audit cycles is a must have.
3. Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, lineage, and metadata management is a must have.
4. Strong knowledge of AI assurance frameworks and regulatory expectations is a must have.
5. Proven experience driving business development and building long-term client relationships is a must have.
6. Relevant data or AI qualification (e.g. CDMC, DAMA, DCAM, ISACA)
7. Hands-on experience with data and AI platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, or AWS
8. Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, etc.
