Senior Tester

Senior Software Tester – Contract Overview: We are working on behalf of a bespoke software consultancy supporting a UK financial services organisation on the development of new, greenfield front-office systems. As part of this programme, they are looking to engage an experienced Senior Software Tester to support both automated and manual testing across complex, business-critical applications.This is a hands-on contract role suited to someone who enjoys working in delivery-focused teams and thrives in technically complex environments.Role & Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end manual and automated testing across new front-office platforms
• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
• Execute API and UI testing to ensure system reliability and performance
• Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and product teams to identify defects early
• Contribute to test strategy, planning, and continuous improvement of QA practices
• Work within Azure DevOps to manage test cases, defects, and delivery workflows

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience testing complex software systems in delivery environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium
• Development experience using C# or TypeScript
• Solid background in API and UI testing
• Experience working with Azure DevOps
• Naturally curious with a strong testing mindset and attention to detail
• Comfortable managing complexity and working across multiple system components

• Life insurance domain knowledge
• Broader insurance experience (e.g. motor, health, home, etc.)

Contract Details:

• Role: Senior Software Tester
• Duration: 6 months initially
• Rate: £450 – £575 per day
• Start Date: Feb 2026
