Marketing & Office Support Apprentice
This hands-on apprenticeship combines office administration and digital marketing. You'll support daily operations, create content, manage communications, and act as a friendly first point of contact. Alongside practical experience, you'll work towards a recognised Level 3 qualification with mentor support.
Role
Office and phone responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and emails, and direct enquiries to the right person
- Provide a professional, friendly first impression for new and existing customers
- Book and coordinate site surveys and appointments in the diary
- Support general administration: filing, correspondence, data entry, and record-keeping
- Help maintain accurate customer and job records in the company's systems
- Provide general support to the Director and wider team as needed
Marketing responsibilities:
- Create and schedule content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), including photos of completed fire door installations and customer testimonials
- Help maintain and update the company website and Google Business Profile
- Support email marketing campaigns and build a customer / prospect mailing list
- Design simple marketing materials (flyers, case studies, quote templates) using tools such as Canva
- Track enquiries and leads, and report on which marketing activity is working
- Carry out basic market and competitor research
- Support the collection of customer reviews and testimonials
Training
Duration:
- 15-months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment
Delivery model:
- Work-based training with your employer
- 10 days Business Professionals training at college
- Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year
- Off-the-job training will count for at least 6 hours per week of an apprentice’s time at work
Qualifications included:
- Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard
End Point Assessment:
- Knowledge test
- Portfolio based interview
- Project / improvement presentation
Long-term goal is to move into the Social media and marketing management role.
Also to have full industry specific training.
