SAP Cloud ERP Contractor (SAP SD/MM) - UK (Hybrid) - 6-12 Month Contract

We are looking for an experienced SAP Cloud ERP Contractor with deep expertise in SD (Sales & Distribution) and MM (Materials Management) to support a major transformation programme as we migrate from a long-standing ECC 6.0 landscape to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

This role is ideal for someone who has delivered or supported previous public cloud implementations, understands the differences vs. on-premise ECC, and can guide the business through fit-to-standard processes, data transition, configuration and testing.

Our organisation is entering a crucial phase of a multi-year digital transformation. After more than a decade of operating on a heavily customised ECC environment, we are shifting to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to modernise operations, standardise global processes, and reduce technical debt.

The SD/MM contractor will be Embedded into a workstream that includes:

• Redesigning SD and MM processes to align with Public Cloud fit-to-standard principles.

• Supporting data cleansing and migration from ECC to S/4HANA Public Cloud.

• Working closely with functional teams, offshore resources, and SAP implementation partners.

• Guiding the business through change impacts where custom ECC processes cannot be replicated in the cloud.

• Participating in sprint-based configuration, testing cycles, and cutover planning.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with significant influence on how the business adopts standardised cloud processes.

• Act as the functional SME for SAP SD and MM in a Public Cloud migration programme.

• Drive fit-to-standard workshops, articulate gaps, and recommend cloud-compliant solutions.

• Configure relevant SD/MM scope items within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

• Support integration with other modules: FI, PP, Procurement, and external logistics systems.

• Contribute to data migration design, mapping and validation.

• Prepare functional specifications for WRICEF objects where absolutely necessary (minimising customisation).

• Lead testing cycles: SIT, UAT, regression.

• Provide go-live support and ensure smooth transition to BAU.

• Proven experience as an SAP SD/MM consultant, ideally within S/4HANA (Public or Private Cloud).

• Strong background in ECC with a clear understanding of differences and constraints in Public Cloud.

• Experience in end-to-end implementations or migrations.

• Strong knowledge of SD processes (Order-to-Cash, pricing, billing, delivery) and MM processes (Procure-to-Pay, inventory management, purchasing).

• Understanding of master data, integration points, and cloud-driven standardisation.

• Ability to work with both technical and business teams, translating requirements into practical cloud solutions.

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge Legacy ECC thinking where needed.

• Experience with SAP BTP extensions or integrations.

• Experience in agile delivery methodologies.

• Familiarity with logistics execution or warehouse integrations.
