Sage Intacct Technical Integration Consultant - Contract - Remote - Outside IR35

The opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Sage Intacct Technical Integration Consultant to provide specialist support to an established integration and business process automation software provider.

The consultant will work on an ad hoc basis, supporting the development, configuration and delivery of integrations between Sage Intacct and third-party business applications.

This role requires someone who combines strong knowledge of Sage Intacct's financial processes and data model with hands-on experience of its XML Web Services and REST APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject-matter expert for Sage Intacct integration projects.
• Advise product, development and delivery teams on Intacct functionality, objects and API behaviour.
• Support integrations between Sage Intacct and CRM, eCommerce, billing, payment, expense, warehouse and other operational systems.
• Work with Sage Intacct XML Web Services and REST APIs.
• Map standard and custom objects, fields and dimensions between systems.
• Support Real Time, scheduled and bidirectional data synchronisation.
• Define validation, transformation and exception-handling requirements.
• Troubleshoot authentication, permissions, data mapping and API errors.
• Ensure integrations correctly reflect the underlying financial and accounting processes.
• Assist with testing, documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Provide specialist input into customer-specific integration requirements when needed.

Essential experience:

• Recent, hands-on experience with Sage Intacct.
• Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct APIs, ideally both XML Web Services and REST.
• Understanding of the Sage Intacct object and data model.
• Experience integrating standard and custom objects and fields.
• Knowledge of core objects including customers, suppliers, invoices, bills, payments, journal entries and orders.
• Understanding of multi-entity environments, dimensions and intercompany processes.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation and synchronisation.
• Strong functional understanding of GL, AP, AR and related finance processes.
• Ability to investigate technical issues and communicate clearly with developers, consultants and customers.
• Comfortable working independently on a flexible, ad hoc basis.

Desirable experience:

• Previous experience with an iPaaS, Middleware or business process automation platform.
• Experience developing or supporting reusable ERP connectors.
• Sage Intacct certification.
• Experience working for a software vendor, Sage partner or integration consultancy.
• Knowledge of CRM, eCommerce, WMS, expense-management or payment integrations.
• Customer-facing consulting experience.

Ideal profile:

This role would suit a Sage Intacct Functional-Technical Consultant, Integration Consultant or API Specialist who can bridge the gap between finance processes and technical integration.

It is not a purely functional finance role: demonstrable Sage Intacct API and integration experience will be essential.
