Software Engineer

Job Description

I'm working alongside an already successful UK-based technology and artificial intelligence company who are looking to speak to Software Developers or Data Engineers of all levels.

My client has a focus on supporting the Defence sector by providing high-quality execution and cutting-edge support throughout the life cycle of data and AI initiatives.

As a reflection of their success, they've scaled rapidly since being founded in 2024 and now have a headcount of around 40 people. To keep up with the demand of their service and forever growing client base, they're aiming to bring on an additional 45 heads by the end of the year!

Due to the nature of the work and predominantly operating with the Defence sector, you'll need to hold either active SC or DV clearance. Also be open to being on-site across London between 2-4 days per week (this can vary depending on the timing of the project)

Key Responsibilities:

• Decomp and design solutions for client problem sets based on their descriptions and by exploration of the data landscape.
• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes to build data and action models to address the workflow needs.
• Build and edit operational workflows, including front ends and decision-support toolsets, inclusive of native Palantir tooling and integrated front ends.
• Collaborate with team members to implement AI and machine learning models against user problems.
• Engage in continuous learning and development on a personal basis and contribute to the company's core technical and best practice. This may include upskilling peers or junior engineers.
• Close working with clients, building deep and sustainable relationships that positions you/us as their "trusted advisor"
• Tackle user challenges by uniting source and captured data into a cohesive foundational model while developing operational workflows that elevate enterprise decision-making.

Skills required

• Deep technical understanding, proficient in SQL, Python, TypeScript, C++, and C#
• UK Sole Nationals with active SC or DV clearance (clearance must be current)
• Based in London, or willing to relocate, and able to travel to client sites
• Deliver end-to-end solutions using their bespoke software
