The Role
This is a client-centric Account Manager position focused on developing and expanding an existing portfolio while converting a consistent flow of qualified opportunities.
The role blends relationship management and revenue growth, with a clear emphasis on increasing wallet share, driving retention, and identifying new opportunities within existing customers.
Account Management & Growth
- Managing and developing an established client portfolio
- Driving revenue expansion through cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Strengthening long-term customer relationships
This is a consultative, relationship-led role, requiring strong commercial awareness and the ability to align technology solutions to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Account Growth & Client Development
- Own and develop a portfolio of existing customers
- Identify and convert opportunities across:
- Managed IT Services
- Cloud solutions (migrations etc) and Modern Workplace solutions
- IT infrastructure and support services
- Foster strong, long-term client relationships based on trust and value
- Act as the primary point of contact for client engagement and escalation
- Lead account reviews, commercial discussions, and service alignment conversations
- Drive contract renewals, retention, and account expansion
- Deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and commercial agreements
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and reporting
Internal Collaboration & Delivery Alignment
- Work closely with service desk, delivery, and technical teams
- Ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new and existing clients
- Coordinate internal resources to meet customer expectations
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and market trends
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, or Client Relationship roles within IT / Managed Services
- Strong understanding of:
- Managed Services
- IT Infrastructure
- Cloud technologies
- Track record of growing existing accounts and delivering against revenue targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify and close opportunities
- Experience managing multiple client relationships in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Experience using CRM systems effectively
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
